Some information about our site:

Most site names on the Internet are not language specific.  Therefore, throughout our site, you will often find a picture (graphic) to let visitors of any language know the topic of that page. 

Privacy:  WorldSwitch.com, Inc. does not utilize 'cookies', or place any tracking information on visitor's computers.  We do not maintain any lists for user tracking, or for identification of visitors.  Some of the sites we link to may operate differently.  

However,  we do participate in affiliate programs.  Clicking on an advertising banner may result in an attempt by these affiliate programs, or the merchant, to place a "cookie" in your computer.  Please note that we do not have any control over other sites, once you "click" to leave our site.
Visitors do not have to have 'cookies' enabled to fully utilize our site.

Our design philosophy is to provide clean, quick loading pages, packed with as much useful information as is practical.  This design should help visitors easily find what they are looking for, and be on their way as quickly as possible, rather than maximize the time spent here.  We think this will make visitors want to come back more often.

Many pages have more information than can fit on a single page.  If "Java Script" is enabled in your browser, you will notice that some pages (such as Weather or Airlines) show a pop-up box with additional information as the mouse (cursor) hovers over the site name.   We think visitors like being able to see extra information, without having to look at a cluttered page, or clicking on a link.   Visitors do not have to have Scripts enabled to use our site.

Our site has received the highest ratings for appropriate content from both ICRA and Safe Surf.  Should you find any information or links that are not suitable for visitors of all ages, please let us know immediately and we will remove the offending information, link or ad.  However, we can not control the content or links on other sites.  Click on the ICRA or Safe Surf logos on our main page to find out how to make browsers safe for Internet surfing by children.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, WorldSwitch.com does not sell any products on this web site.  We do provide links to other sites, and merchants, who do sell products.  Our function (and liability) is no more than that of a sign, pointing the way to the store.  Should you have a problem with a purchase, please resolve the problem directly with the merchant.  Should you not be able to resolve the problem with the merchant, our obligation, involvement and action is limited solely to removing the merchant link from our site, should we receive sufficient complaints.

Our focus is to collect information on the Global Internet Community, particularly lesser known countries. 
As a result, you may feel we have not adequately considered some of the larger countries of the world, such as the United States.  However, those countries have been done so well, so often, by so many sites, we simply provide links to the major directories and search engines in those countries. 
If we can't provide "added value,"  we don't want to be just another "me too."
